Sustainability
Responsible
global trade.
Our Approach
Global Naft does not refine or produce. What we control is what happens in between: the grade that is contracted, the condition it is stored and carried in, and the paperwork that travels with it. Responsible trade, for us, is getting those three things right on every shipment.
The products we trade are industrial materials with real handling requirements. Bitumen ships hot, sulphur is moved in bulk and in bags, fuel oils are bunkered at the quayside. Each of those steps has a right way to be done, and the difference between doing it properly and doing it cheaply usually shows up somewhere else — in a contaminated parcel, a rejected cargo, or a spill someone else has to clean up.
Focus Areas
Where responsibility
shows up.
Handling & Storage
Bitumen, sulphur and fuel oils each have their own temperature, containment and compatibility requirements. We specify them per shipment rather than leaving them to the carrier to assume.
Carrier Selection
Vessels, ISO tanks and road transport are chosen for the cargo and the route, not on price alone. A carrier that is wrong for the product is a risk passed straight to the buyer.
Compliance
Every market we serve has its own rules on import, classification and documentation. Meeting them is part of the trade, not an afterthought once the cargo is on the water.
Product Integrity
A cargo is contracted to a stated grade. Keeping it to that grade from loading to discharge is the single clearest environmental duty a trader has: off-spec product is waste.
Packaging
Bulk where bulk is appropriate, drums and bags where it is not. Choosing the right packing avoids both over-packaging and the losses that come from under-packing.
People
The people handling these products at either end are the ones exposed to them. Clear specifications, correct labelling and accurate documentation are what keep that work safe.
